The Romanian Coven has overthrown the Volturri and are now in power. It's exactly what they wanted, but other covens aren't so thrilled about it. The Romanians are changing the rules of the vampire world, including riding the world of werewolves altogether.

Using her minions--pheremone controlling Faith, silent killer Robin, living ice cube Bridget, water manipulating Coral and power absorbant Molly--she has abducted Jasper while Alice was on her hunt, and by the time Alce got back to the house, it was too late!
Now the Cullens have a difficult decision to make. The Romanians have given the Southern covens free roam to do whatever they please, which means another band of newborn army battles will spring out. It also leaves the Cullens pwerless to retrieve Jasper and the Romanians refuse to do anything about it.

But Faith also wants Jasper for herself to overthrow Maria. While Maria is at a disadvantage, Faith may get what she wants and be able to continue her agenda of many items while Jasper may find himself in a situation he can't get himself out of.....
